Doğuş Çay's journey began in 1985 with the production of bulk tea. This journey has continued over the years by expanding its product portfolio with tea bags, green tea, herbal and fruit teas. Doğuş Çay's activities, which started with tea, expanded in the following years by entering different sectors. As of today, Doğuş Çay has 11 production facilities spread across Turkey and operates in the Tea, Crystal Sugar, Tomato Paste, Beverages and Corn and Potato Chips sectors with its more than 4000 personnel. Doğuş Çay is an important agricultural company in the country. Working with 70,000 farmers across Turkey, Doğuş Çay purchases 1,300,000 tons of agricultural products such as sugar beet, fresh tea leaves, tomatoes, corn and potatoes and processes them in its factories and offers the highest quality products to consumers.

Doğuş Çay, Turkey's largest private tea producer, is also among Turkey's most successful industrial establishments. Doğuş Çay, which wants to transfer its experience of nearly 40 years in the business world to the energy sector, started to produce energy by establishing the solar panel production facility in Afyonkarahisar in 2023. It will continue its activities in the energy sector under the name of Karakan Energy and will transform the power it receives from nature into energy.
